Week 10: Recovering a Sense of Self-Protection

Ceremonial shield dating from the late 16th century. The shield is made of wicker wound with raw silk in a design of tulips and carnations. the central iron boss bears a star motif. Wicker shield.
TOPKAPI PALACE MUSEUM.

This Week we are going to begin confronting the myriad of ways we block our creativity. We are to read Chapter 10 and begin by doing the "Workaholism Quiz" on page 167. The tasks for this week should be very interesting and enlightening.

  • Task 1: The Deadlies
  • Task 2: Touchstones
I will see you all on Tuesday. Have a good and creative weekend!

Mamma Mia Cecees! It's playing in the Newton Theater! How great is that?

I suggest a field trip and maybe JC's after.

Any suggestions for a date?

PS the shield is beautiful, Roni. maybe maggie will include Topkapi Palace on the princess tour. Wasn't there a movie years ago, by the same name? OOOps, you would be too young to remember that!

Have a great weekend.

I think we should make a Mama Mia date too. I've got friends coming from Germany on Saturday, and my mother has a lot of Dr. appts on Fri. so I won't be able to go until the latter part of next week. Possibly Thurs. the 31st. Is that too long to wait?
What do you think?
Virginia,
Thank you for acknowledging the shield. I searched pages and pages before I found the one I thought to be most appropriate.
